Jurisprudence for LPNs – time is running out
On April 4, 2016, we informed 3436 LPNs that they need to complete CLPNBC’s Jurisprudence exam this year. To be eligible to renew their registration for 2017, these LPNs need to complete the Jurisprudence exam by October 31, 2016.
On August 15 and September 15 we sent a reminder letter
to all LPNs who have not completed the exam. As of today, 1123 have NOT met this requirement. These LPNs are risking their ability to renew their registration and to work for you as of January 2017. Writing the exam is free. Reinstatement of their registration costs an additional $200.
Would you please advise all LPNs in your organization to check their CLPNBC account and see if 2016 is their Jurisprudence year? If it is, they should complete the exam as soon as possible.
Annual registration renewal – important dates
CLPNBC’s annual registration renewal will open on November 1, 2016. To guarantee we can process their applications, LPNs need to apply for renewal by November 30, 2016 at 4:30 p.m.
LPNs who wait until the last minute are taking a risk with their registration and their ability to work for you in January 2017. If LPNs renew on the last business day of the year (Friday December 30, 2016), we may not be able to process their applications in time for them to work on January 1, 2017.
